Human Embryonic Stem Cell Therapy Restores Hope for Amanda

Dr. Shroff and Dr. Ashish Verma Tour America

Dr. Ashish and Dr. Shroff will be commencing their American tour beginning June 13 through to the end of the month.  They will first visit Dr. Barth Green, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery, University of Miami School of Medicine.  Both doctors will then cruise on to Los Angeles, culminating their whirlwind tour in Las Vegas.  They will present on June 26th at a National Convention for the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) held at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.  This is a professional organization based in Chicago and according to their website, has a constituency of 42,000 physicians and almost 15,000 medical students and residents.  At 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26th Dr. Geeta Shroff and Dr. Ashish Verma will present Human Embryonic Stem Cells and Results in India.  A number of Dr. Shroff’s patients from across America will be joining her during her presentation.

Perry Cross, the C2 quadriplegic from Australia’s Gold Coast who made world headlines last week on television and in newspapers, will also be on stage testifying to the success of Dr. Shroff’s revolutionary treatment.  HESCs brought the breath of life back into Perry’s lungs after fourteen years of paralysis.  Perry breathed on his own for 12 hours straight off the ventilator.  He is our hero who smiles a cheeky grin flashing beautiful straight white teeth with such a zest for life.  His big green eyes light up the room and spark a phenomenal energy that becomes instantly contageous.  Perry humbles us all.  All he wants to do is breathe on his own.  Breath is life and it will bring quality back into Perry’s days and nights.  As Perry aspires to breathe and wean himself completely off his ventilator, the rest of us watch in awe.  Unlike most patients who have the luxury of receiving spinal procedures, Perry has only been able to receive intramuscular and intravenous stem cell injections.  It was too risky for him to undergo a spinal procedure as his injury is at the base of the brain stem (a Christopher Reeves twin so-to-speak).  AND, he can now breathe on his own through receiving just IM and IV injections!  He is living proof that HESCS have a homing in capability and have been able to make him breathe on his own, work his diaphram for the first time in fourteen years, and also sit up for almost two minutes out of his electric-powered wheelchair on his own.

Dr. Shroff’s and Dr. Ashish’s patients have all defied the odds and we will stand proudly in Las Vegas to support our doctors who are making a miraculous difference to the lives of so many around the globe.
